150 Geography students visited the iconic Kelham Island regeneration in Sheffield, investigating how effectively the area had been transformed from a post-industrial area of dereliction to a vibrant, landmark development of housing and hospitality sector businesses.

Students then took the tram into the city centre for lunch, and then on to the station to explore how well-integrated the transport systems of Sheffield are.

Such experiences give students a good foundation for the rigorous demands of 4 days of fieldwork at A Level geography, not to mention a lifetime of investigating and problem-solving skills.
