Last week, our A level French and German students took part in the Association for Language Learning’s A Level Film study day for 2025 at Sheffield Hallam University.
The day was conducted entirely in the target language, and the films studied (‘Ich bin dein Mensch’ and ‘Tomboy’) covered themes such as what it means to be human, happiness and identity.
Students participated enthusiastically in the workshops and gained a valuable insight into the techniques required for studying film in A level languages.
